Prisoners offers an intimate look at the lives of four female inmates at “Neve Tirza” Prison and their struggles to rebuild their lives after release. The series captures their humanity, strength, and vulnerabilities as they confront a harsh reality unfamiliar to most viewers.
The women—Natalie, convicted of killing her rapist; Malka and Tina, imprisoned for drug offenses; and Asma, jailed for traffic violations—open up in an unprecedented way in front of the camera. The series follows them through their prison terms, release, and efforts to reintegrate into the challenging world outside.
