THE NEVER-ENDING WAR

Rodrigo Gonzales, a children’s TV sensation from the early 2000s, has been haunted by PTSD since serving in the Second Lebanon War in 2006. For over a decade, he silently struggled with visions, voices, and memories that disrupted his life.

Now, for the first time, Rodrigo opens up about his experiences and seeks to transform his trauma into healing.

“When you tell me I have severe PTSD, I have a tough time coming to terms with that. For me, calling it this black box I’ve been walking round with, rings a lot truer,” he tells his therapist. His journey, shared with a therapist, delves deep into his pain and the collective trauma of many Israelis. As he reconnects with former comrades, Rodrigo’s story, as depicted in the documentary The Never-Ending War, offers a raw and compassionate look at PTSD, highlighting the power of dialogue and sharing in overcoming the past.
